Beginning in 2011, EAAF conducted a series of missions in Libya to provide consulting on the forensic investigation of human rights violations committed under Muammar Gaddafi’s rule, from 1969 until his death in 2011. At the request of the National Transitional Council (NTC), EAAF trained local personnel and proposed a strategy for the recovery and identification of victims.
