In 1993, two members of EAAF were part of an international forensic team that participated in excavations in Croatia’s territories. This work was carried out under the mandate of the United Nations Group of Experts for this case.
From 1996 to 2000, several EAAF members joined the forensic investigation efforts ordered by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in Bosnian territories and later in Kosovo. In the case of Bosnia, the work was conducted at mass graves related to the Srebrenica case, while in Kosovo, it was carried out in various regions.
Members of EAAF participated in the groups that performed the recovery and analysis of bodies in the specially created morgue. As a result of this work, thousands of bodies were recovered and analyzed.
