El @EAAFoficial organizó el “Seminario Migrantes Desaparecidos y Fallecidos: Intercambio de Información entre Contextos”, realizado durante dos jornadas en el Tribe Hotel de Nairobi, Kenia. Participaron médicos forenses, organizaciones de la sociedad civil de nueve países afectados por la desaparición de migrantes desde África a Europa. Además, participaron organizaciones humanitarias internacionales
Durante el Seminario, el EAAF presentó los resultados preliminares de su proyecto piloto para la creación de un mecanismo para la identificación de migrantes desaparecidos fallecidos en las rutas entre África y Europa. Se analizaron marcos legales y posibles acciones colaborativas.
Entre las instituciones que participaron estuvieron la Organización Internacional de las Migraciones (@unmigration), @icrc, Euromed Rights (@euromedhr) la asociación marroquí Ayuda a Migrantes en Situación Vulnerable (AMSV), la clínica de Derechos Humanos de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chicago (@uchicagolaw) AlarmPhone y el Defensor del Pueblo de España. También participaron médicos forenses de Gambia, España, Libia, Marruecos, Senegal y Túnez.

The @EAAFoficial organized the “Missing and Deceased Migrants Seminar: Information Exchange between Contexts,” held at the Tribe Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. Forensic doctors and civil society organizations from nine countries affected by disappearances of migrants from Africa to Europe participated as well as international humanitarian organizations.
During the Seminar, the EAAF presented preliminary results of its pilot project to create a mechanism for identifying missing migrants who died along routes between Africa and Europe. Legal frameworks and potential collaborative actions were discussed to enhance processes.
Institutions included the International Organization for Migration (IOM), @ICRC, @euromedhr, the Moroccan association Aid to Migrants in Vulnerable Situations (AMSV), the Human Rights Clinic of the @uchicagolaw, AlarmPhone, and the Ombudsman of Spain. Forensic doctors from Gambia, Spain, Libya, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia also participated.
